endofitall9 Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 Alright time for a new one or to rebuild my crank. the problem is that the only bearings I can seem to find for it is the main crank bearings, I'm looking for the center crank bearings (very bad) and also the rod bearings. cant find anything close to what I need and the only rod bearings I can find are the ones that comes with new rods and I dont need them. I've called every place but yamaha and everyone tells me they can sell me a rebuild kit but it doesnt come with the center crank bearings,. Can anyone onhere help? Quote
Wallrat Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 If its a stock crank don't bother rebuilding them. They're not 100% rebuildable and will therefore wear out sooner each time you try to rebuild. How much sooner is anybody's guess. You could either try ebay for a used one or do it right and buy an aftermarket crank. Do it right the first time and save yourself some headaches. Quote
endofitall9 Posted March 27, 2005 Author Report Posted March 27, 2005 I've decided to go aftermarket but it will take awhile I'm wanting to build it the best I can while it's down. I stuck between a vitos crank and wiseco. Which would be the better deal? Quote
