What to do

Well i just put my banshee back together just pc'ed the frame cut my plastic all new bearings seal n shit like that and now i take it for a spin and it doesnt want to downshift i had this problem in my 99 motor but this motor is out of and 02.

So pretty much i need some kind of info or help on what to do should i see if i can trade it on sumthin else more raceable figure out whats wrong and fix it and continue racing it or what im very frustrated.

what are you talking about? is your shifter fuct or what ? you need to give more information about what its doing other than your a determined racer and its not downshifting ,sounds possibly like the return spring on your shift shaft.

it will upshift fine but when i go to downshift it feels as if its not catching like the shifter is loose yes i checked the shifter its not slipping the last time this happened i took the clutch cover off and founde several chewed up bolts and nuts and the shift star laying in the oil in the bottom of the case i took it to a shop and let them do it because of the stud being broke off flush in the case if i stop and fuck with it for a few minutes or shut it off i can get it back down to 1st but while moving or the engine is running it wont..

sound like you broke one of two things. either the spring that returns the shift lever to its normal state of the stud it mounts on. pull your clutch cover to check for sure. but it a super simple fix. some guys pull their clutch basket, but ive done it before by just removing the side cover. see what ya find and then tell us.
