Should be tuning my shee by the end of next week and am curious about the keihen needles. I have 33mm PWK's. Not sure which needle is in it now, but i know it will likely need adjusted and / or changed. I know the basic needle concept... where it affects the power, how to adjust lean / rich, and the charicteristics of the taper... but i hear a lot of people talking about BEG, CGL and so on. This is the part i dont understand. AFter i determine what one i have in it, if it isnt the correct one how do i know which one to get ? and where to get it from, can you order direct from keihin :shootself:

Thanks guys :notworthy:

After you jet it in to it's optimum with what you have.If the needle circuit is'nt spot on or your not satasified with it you can fine tune it with other needles that have a different rate of transiton through the taper, this will provide a different fuel ratio at the same throttel position. To determine which one you need. You'll have to test+decide if it wants more or less fuel+go from there.I know a lot of people who order carb parts from sudco.

Sudco has a chart of all the needles you could ever want. They also have a diagram of how each letter on the needle affects the jetting. Is takes a while to figure the chart out tho. Its kind of a brain buster. Just look on their web site.

that chart rich is left and bottom

it kinda hard to explain just look it over. there are like a million different choices to choice from. kinda nerve racking. if you order some order a couple around what you need so you can get what you want.
