Well I put new brake pads on the rear and now the brake will not tighten up. Ive been trying to bleed them and tighten it up. What exactly do I need to do? The pedal is not moving the pads at all. Oh, and the pads are rubbing a little bit too...?

Thanks

By any chance did you for get to unscrew the resivore cap before you compressed the piston.  If so you may have blew the seals out of the caliper and you need a rebuild kit.

that's what i thought too. your best bet is to remove the cap, and using the old pad, use a c-clamp and slowly press the piston back in completely. did the pedal work right before you switched the pads? pull the caliper back off and work the pedal to see if it is working at all without resistance. it may just need bled out better, or the piston is froze up for some reason. maybe take it all apart and clean it up real good.

Ok I will take it off to see if it works. Maybe I just dont know how exactly you are supposed to bleed the brakes.

When I switched pads last I switched the lines to so I had the calipers off. I layed them on a board and got the appropriate size socket and extension to fit the piston and beat it back with a dead blow hammer worked great but sprayed brake fluid all over so make sure your not pointing the lines at any painted surfaces that you like when you do it.
