I realize that everyone here recommends like 260 mains, and up. For some odd reason, After I installed my pipes, I checked to see how it ran with the stock 200's. Mean ass mid to top end, but not much low. I then installed the 260's that I bought with the pipes. It bogs out when put in gear. No powerband at all. The guy at my local parts dept recommende 220's, so that is what I have now, and I'm ready to install them. I adjusted the airscrew with the 260's and still no luck. It is in the 30's, here and I'm at sea-level. Someone please help me. Thanks.

FMF racing:

There are way too many variables in jetting to give you a recommendation that works perfect. Use these specs for a reference to help aid you with your specific bike. We developed these specs with a 32:1 fuel to oil mixing ratio of a 50/50 mix of race fuel and super unleaded, 0 - 1500 ft altitude at 70 degrees outside temperature.

dude, this whole time the problem was my airbox lid. I started it with the lid off, and there shee was screaming. I can't believe I overlooked it. I was so psyched to get the pipes that I overlooked the other things. The added perfomance is really something. I kept the 260's in, and just used my dremel to cut a few slots in the lid, and removed the snorkel. I bought my shee in 97 brand new, and never added any mods till now. I waited too long. The stock pipe really hinders the performance. Now I can just gas it, and the front picks up like nothing. This is just the beginning. My shee doesnt have many hours on it at all. It sat in my shop for awhile. I been too busy with my business, and family to play with it. Now I'm hooked! I been riding since I was 7 yrs old, and am at the ripe old age of 29 now. I can't believe that I forgot the thrill. My wife thinks I'm nuts. I went to the parts dealer to get some jets, and what did I do? I ordered a 2005 Hyabusa! I'm picking it up next week. I got the bug. Again. I really thought my next bike was going to be a custom chopper, but the speed addiction is overwhelming! Thanks for your posts guys. Johnnytalent
