bansheetroy Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 ok i have been fighting this problem for months. jetting on idal through mid and up to 3/4 is prefect.. crsp and responsive but wot the bike sound like it is missing or well not right . we have tried jetting from real lean to super fat and no change. could cdi, stator be bad!!!!!!!!!!! ledofthezep Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 Could be either. I'd deusche the carbs just to make sure there's no grunt in them causing problems. Got a clymers manual? Get ahold of an OHM meter & check the stator & coil. Quote
brilei5 Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 I have had the same type of problem. Since jetting has no effect, try closing up the gaps on the spark plugs. set them at .017 instead of the stock .028. If the smaller gap clears it up you will know it is ignition.(weak spark). Quote
