rocketboy Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 What is involved in modding the stock timing plate? 331011[/snapback] do a search theres plenty of info on this subject.in thoery the degree key should not shear because its simply a locator for the time and will stay fine ifseated correct and torqued to the right specs, but thats bullshit ,ive sheared several and know somebody that sheared 6 ,and thats using a very high quality torque ratchet and doing it precisely as described .the keys are crude little lead drippings that are soft and a good jerk coming off the crank will shear em right now ,youll have adjustability with the stock modified one. its a simple mod requireing alittle time and a dremel tool Quote
05bansh Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Thanks for the info, I think I am going to order an adjustable plate from ricky stator. Quote
