14 tooth is stock. Depends on what kinda riding you do if its a good change or a bad one. What kinda riding do you do?

EDIT: I just read in ur sig that you are thinking about the Eric Gorr Woods port. First off, youll love it. I ran it for over a year. Best all around port job there is IMO. But, I say if you are getting his port job, you should gear up. With his work, youll for sure be able to pull the taller gears. I ran the trails with a 16 tooth on front alll the time. I competed in hillclimbs pulling a 17 tooth no problem. His woods port is awesome.

I mostly ride trails and dirt roads around the house. I sometimes go to the dunes or the thr river and ride in the sand. Will more teeth on my sprocket give me more top end or bottom end? Does a woods port give you good bottom end? Should I change sprockets based on that? I want to have good end but not loose all my top end either.

Thanks Travis

More teeth on the front sprocket means more top speed, less teeth on rear accomplishes same thing. I doubt if anyone can really tell you what size sprocket you'll like best. You should probably just buy a 15 and see how you like it. If you like popping wheelies try a 13, but it'll pull you down in a drag race. You can get a sprocket from RMATV for less than $10 shipped.

The woods port is gonna give you UNBELIEVABLE midrange power. Personally, I think you should try a 15 or 16 and see how you like it. If you dont like it, then you can always change. Sprockets are cheap.

When you say you want ur good botton end, but dont want to lose ur top, that's why I say run a bigger sprocket. Ur gonna have enough power to pull the bigger sprocket.
