hey everyone, I have an older dynoprt 2 into 1 that i picked up off ebay and sent to jet hot to have it sandblasted and coated. After about the 3rd ride I noticed about 3 or 4 very small pinholes in the pipe. Is this bad? willit hurt the bike and/or cause it to run lean? I think the pipe was old and sandblasting the inside made it thin in areas. Any help?? I pulled the plugs after the last ridea nd they look about the same as before, kinda rich looking.

Are the holes completely through the pipe or is the coating just pitted? If they're not blowing shit through I'd say they're just pitted in the coating & would maybe suggested contacting who coated it to see if they'll fix it. :shrugani:

Thanks Led, but I think the pin holes are all the way thru, as its alittle black around them. I think the pipe was pretty old and they may have weakend it alot when they blasted it right before coating it. So is this bad for the motor? will it make the pipe hotter? Please advise!!

I think you will be okay. Do a plug chop to check your jetting. If it's ok, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe try to force a little high temp silicone into the holes.

I agree. Either way, I'd see about patching the holes so they don't turn into bigger ones...high temp silicone maybe, something high temp, maybe even a dab of jb weld.

Really the holes need to be mig welded up and then sanded smooth. Though they aren't going to affect the performance at all untill you can feel a certain amount of the exhaust through the holes. Some people loose a surprsing amount just because their expansion chambers don't seat to the exhaust port very well.
