#51 BANSHEE Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 hey guys i can't see the difference between the float bowls. The little brass tube on the carb is the starter tube i got that but where the tube goes into the bowl they both look the same. If anyone has pics please post them Quote
Banchetta Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Where the tube connects to the bowl, there will be a very, very tiny jet in the bottom of the bowl where the tube connects, this is the choke jet. Quote

MILO Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 i'm not sure about that. sounds like you're still trying to figure it out. only one of the bowls will contain the starter jet. there's a 'tube' molded into the side of the bowl, in which at the bottom you will see the jet, and a small opening into the bowl . i think the other one is just empty with no opening to the bowl. what happens is when you pull the choke lever out, it opens an air passage. the air travel sucks fuel thru the opening in bottom of the bowl like a siphon, thru the starter jet, up the mix tube on the side of the bowl where it mixes to provide a fuel rich mixture, providing easier starting.
