Holyman Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 Well guys and girls, I've been thinking of passing on the bearing business to some younger person. Now that I'm pushing 40, I'd like to branch out into other areas of ATVing and would like to offer someone the chance to get in on the ground floor of the ATV bearings business. I am willing to sell or trade my entire book of business to someone who really wants to do it and not just think about it. The cool thing is, I'm willing to even trade so there wouldn't have to be a big cash outlay. Email me if you're interested... [email protected] Quote

Holyman Posted February 4, 2005 Author Report Posted February 4, 2005 You can check out my sales record by searching eBay for " imperial.house.of.racing " Quote
banshee04le Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Cool name. Imperial House of anything is pretty cool. Couldn't anyone buy bearings from a bearing wharehouse/wholesaler/distributor and then sell them on ebay or am I missing something? Your ebay id and feedback is nice but it is not transferable is it? What are you offering that is physically transferable? If you are selling managed accounts THAT I can understand. I'm still waiting on pics of the book of business by the way. Quote
Holyman Posted February 4, 2005 Author Report Posted February 4, 2005 (edited) Bearings are like cheesburgers... you can get them anywhere. The reason you go to your favorite burger place is because of the taste, staff, price, consistency, and joy of the experience. There are others who sell bearings on eBay but they sell crap, have no guarantees, made in countries opposed to the US and who treat their customers like dirt. In fact one of the guys on eBay that now sells bearings, approached me to purchase his garbage that is made in China. Once I saw the lack of quality, I told him no. So you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap bearing, buy it. You'll get what you paid for. Some of the bearings I sell are shipped from Germany just for me. I am the ONLY person who sells them in this country. I buy thousands of dollars worth of bearings a year and because of that, I get a price that most will not match. And maybe you can beat the price by a little. Is it enough to make a profit on to be able to sell them or is it just enough to make you happy when you buy for you and your friends. I have been approached by RPM and others because some of the guys on their race teams already use my bearings, they just never told me. I had to find that out from RPM. As it turns out, they were looking for something that I don't handle. But the fact is they came to me because their guys recommended me. In the end, no-one sells the same quality bearings I sell, and backs them up. And no-one has been doing what I'm doing as long as I've been doing it. I have over 1000 transactions with only 3 negs by people who flamed me for no reason. And I'm pretty sure I could transfer the eBay account. In the last 60 days I've sold $1325.96 in bearings which is $662.98 a month. Granted some of those were holiday related but that's where it is. I usually get spikes around tax refund time, spring break, summer vacation. So there you go. It's all out on the table. Edited February 4, 2005 by Holyman Quote

Holyman Posted February 6, 2005 Author Report Posted February 6, 2005 Let me answer a few more questions. I'm looking to trade for a running Banshee. As far as I'm concerned, I don't care how much you spend on the banshee but it has to be running and in over good shape. Or the amount of money it will take for me to get a running Banshee. I'd like to give someone the opportunity to run this biz without killing themselves to do a turn key kind of biz. I am working on suspension modifications especially for the rear suspension. I want an extra banshee to run these mods on but I will also consider trading for a Polaris 4x4 preferrably the 2 stroke Scrambler 400. Email me with any new questions... [email protected] Quote
