my buddies bike was just rebuilt, all new crank, top end, clutches, you name it. sealed up the cases, ready to go ridin. however, had a problem with the wiring, and for the hell of it, we switched pipes on it, when we did oil just flew out of the pipe. there was a lot of oil sitting in there. can anyone tell me why? i was thinking maybe because he kept trying to kick it over when it wasnt starting and just flooded the cylinders. what do you think?

If it was in the right side pipe (clutch cover side) the crank seal was damaged or

installed backwards or he tried to reuse the old one. Either way, if you have tranny oil in your pipe the problem is a bad crank seal.
