RNBRAD Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 my friend just bought a set of Polished C-series for his 250R and they were WAY shinier than any douglas I have ever sceen, I guess you haven't seen these. These are douglas black labels. These look like chrome, you can see a perfect reflection of the hub and nut. It really doesn't get any better of a shine than this, and if there is a "WAY" better, I want to see it. Here's the inside of the front rim, you can compare it to the chrome of the spindles and the a-arms. I've only seen the C-series polished on the outside only. Quote

Course I think they are also only polished on one side, but so are my douglas blue lable rims.... I looked up the ultimates. It says they are the Lightest AND strongest, but at $150 per wheel I could buy another entire set of tires...and I already have a huge Bill to worry about... Quote
RNBRAD Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 All my douglas rims have been polished inside and out. Here's a set of C-series I snagged a pic of today. These are barnd new rims, mine have had a season of duning on them and haven't hit them with any wheel are are still as shiny as the ITP's. These look real good. Only polished outside though. Quote
racer Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 the black label rims are worse than the blue it goes yellow, red, blue, then black label (srongest to weekest) 312142[/snapback] blues are weakest at .125 wall thickness next is black at .160 wall and the third is red at .190 wall so as you can see the blacks are not the weakest blue is. im unsure about the yellows, never looked into those, the price scared me off.
