97banshee350 Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 i was wondering if takeing off yer airbox is good, because i would think sand, dirt mud and other harmful elements would get into ure motor a lot easier, or should i just take the airbox lid off? Quote

Works great, more air and still good protection. Quote
NMBANSHEE Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Yes and no if you ride in alot of muddy ot wet conditions its usually best to keep the airbox but you can still take the lid off or cut part of it off like sredish said or install some airbox vents. No matter what I recomend an air box adapter and a K&N or UNI foam filter Next option would be clamp on K&N's direct to filter, Flows a tiny bit more but not as good of filtering, generally recomended for duning and sandy areas not very good for extremely dusty or wet areas. Just make sure to check your jetting no matter whick way you go Good Luck -------Josh Quote
jeenyus Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 outerwears is the solution! if youre in dusty areas... bring 2 or 3 outerwears.. change them when its needed, if you dont they will stick to your filter and its bad Quote

bancheeze Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 I run with the air box but no lid, that way if it gets colder I can put the lid on and its like going up one jet size Quote
