KRMit Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 My sprocket hub has some slop on the axle. I've been hearing my chain skipping and upon replacing the chain it hasn't been so bad but I still heard it from time to time. Could it be the splines in the sprocket hub instead? If so which are probably striped? The hub or axle... or both? Quote
Dakota02 Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 tighten up your axle. u will see the 2 large nuts beside the sproket there on the axle. I usually use 2 pipe wrenches. Hope this helps Quote

The hub shoulb be softer than the axle, so it will strip first. Quote
