tysons banshee Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 My electrical system burned out last year. I now have: new stator, cdi, coils,kill/light switch. I have PIAA lights up front, but don't know how many volts is normal for a banshee. Before I replace the lightbulbs I want to make sure I have the right voltage. Quote
NugShee Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Are the electrical parts stock parts? I know they are new but did you upgrade the stater? This might help us answer your question Quote

SDD Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 You should have between 11 and 15 volts going to the lights (depends on rpms). If you have more than 15 volts you need a new voltage regulator. Quote
tysons banshee Posted January 21, 2005 Author Report Posted January 21, 2005 Thanks for the advice I'm going to check it out today. Quote
SDD Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Oh make sure you have your meter set to AC not DC. The stators output is in AC current. Quote
