89Steeda Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Do J arms use the same bushings as an arms or does it use a longer one? Quote
Wallrat Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 They're the same. Might as well buy the cheap delrin ones. I got thru a set every season. Quote
Holyman Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Better to buy bearings and never mess with 'em again. Email me if you're interested... Quote
westexgt Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 I also need a set of J-arm bushings, where can I find some cheap ones? Thanks, Kevin Quote
Holyman Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 $25 will get you the 4 bearings you'll need for the J arms only including shipping by Priority Mail. Quote
BdBanshee Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 $25 will get you the 4 bearings you'll need for the J arms only including shipping by Priority Mail. 308499 That's a good deal guys, last much longer than cheap bushings too. Quote
89Steeda Posted January 19, 2005 Author Report Posted January 19, 2005 Thanks guys, I just pressed out my 1987 stock bushings. They look new and are tight still. Thats what grease and only riding in the dunes will do for ya. Who said sand is hard on a rig? Quote
Holyman Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Yeah grease rules. It's probably one reason why the Banshee has the garbage plastic bishings. It takes longer to figure out they are worn out than a bearing. But once grit gets into the bushing, it will wear out everything else. Quote
89Steeda Posted January 19, 2005 Author Report Posted January 19, 2005 My stock bushings are not even really plastic. They seem to be some type of bak-o-lite. Kinda crumble like clay. Quote
Holyman Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Yep that's the factory stuff. Darn near useless. Quote
