snowmobile motor

Can anyone tell me where you put the sprocket and how..(do i need another shaft or what/??)I have a 600 yamaha banshee motor with some mods..120hp anyinfo will be greatly appreciated.. email me here [email protected]

you need to setup a jackshaft on the back of the secondary clutch with a sprocket on it.... I will see if i can find some pictures.

good i could use some pics.im thinking of going big with a snowmobile motor.strikly for drag tho.have you done it before

I my self have not owned one but i have built a couple with a few of my buddy's the most recent one that we did was a zr700 based motor with a 900cc big bore on alky putting out around 190hp. Heres some pics of a nice snomo quad that a guy on planetsand just finished up....it's very similar to how we setup the last one we built.

very fast....not proven yet tho, He just finished it up and made one trip to the dunes but there wasn't anyone there for him to race.

I got a 1000cc twin cat motor that made 187 hp / 127 torque...it's no where near "tweaked" either, it's still a trailable motor.
