Capone Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I had the bottom end rebuilt after I believed the seals were bad. Well, I did the shift star mod, and put everything back together, but for some reason, my clutch level goes all the way to the bars w/o any tension. What could cause this? I can fire it up and everything, except I have no clutch.. any ideas? Also, I have the mods listed in my sig, any ideas on what the following settings should be: Air screw TORS Idle Screw Jetting Main & Pilot Needle Clip Thanks. Quote
blk02banshee Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 well, the mains should stay about the same, if all you did was rebuild it. 340 would be a good starting point if that;s what you had in it before. same goes for the needle clips. The airscrews, I would probably set at 1 1/2 turns out from seated, and adjsut from there. The TORS Idle screws (assuming the slides are in sync) you'll want to remove the filters, and turn both screws counter-clockwise and watch till the slides stop at the bottom, then push the throttle about halfway and let back off a few times while watching the slides and adjusting, so that both slides stop at the same time, then give them a couple turns clockwise equally and check again to make sure they stop at the same time. once you get it running, you can adjust the idle and airscrews accordingly.
