Banshee Universal Parts

Can you guys list some/all universal parts that are available for banshee's. Anything from the engine to the chassis, anything really. Even other makes ie; Honda....

 

Also, were all the stock banshee motors built the same? At least the ones in the states. Wondering because my frame and stock engine are different years so when i'm looking around Yamahapart.com or anywhere else I don't have to do two different look-ups. Thanks.

what do you mean?? like parts off the banshee that work for two differant year model shees? if thats what u mean its pretty much all the same except for a couple things i think.. the only thing that comes to find that they changed is the bolt patter for 89-90..i cant think of anything else.. hope this helps

yeah i guess i didnt word that right.....i mean can you use warrior,blaster, other yamaha quad parts on banshees and will any honda, suzuki..etc. parts fit on banshees?

all banshee parts are interchangable thru all yrs except the 87 thru 89 have j arms instead of a arms... plus the 87,88 have larger bolt pattern on rear hubs..the wiring plugs are diff from the old to newer models so some electrical you will need to doulbe check wiring plug ins..... as for other interchangable parts... raptor,blaster,450 hubs will fit a banshee axle......... i think a raptor axle will fit a banshee but it is narrower...yfz450 front shocs will work on a banshee with a lil bit of grinding...and last but not least all handlebars from all types will fit ...what ever style you like. also a cr500 will interchange with your 350twin just needs lil fabrication.(see loco or sickboy)..;lol this is all i know so this should help some.. sure other can chime in on anything else

the 90 year model had it also

1987-1990 had the front top J-arms, and also a different spindle/front caliper

 

1989-1990 had the large rear hubs

 

Most everything else from all models will interchange, with the exeption of some electrical plugs

thanks for the answers but what i'm mostly interested in is what parts off of any other yamaha quad will work on banshees, like what bansheefreak said with using 450 front shocks....i read too that some you guys use Honda sprocket hubs....anything else like that??

All the banshee engines are the same. One year had a different front sprocket.

 

Not much will interchange from other bikes. About all I can think of is the rear caliper. Not the mounting plate, just the caliper itself. Quite a few bikes use it including the Z-400/KXF.

 

ATC200X hubs will work and they have a 4/110 pattern like hondas and the Z/KXF. Mojave/Tecate hubs will work also with a 4/156 pattern (same as the '89 banshee rear). The only front wheels I know of that will work are mojave/tecate and polaris. Banshee and warrior are the only rears I know of with the 4/115 pattern. Blaster axles will fit (about 2" narrower) but you must use a blaster brake hub. The sprocket hub to use R sprockets are aftermarket pieces designed just for that.

 

That's all I know of other than what was mentioned.

I think ledofthezep put a 250r swinger on his stock frame.all Blaster,Warrior,Banshee,Raptor,Polaris front hubs are 4/156.Warrior,87-88/91-05 Banshee,Raptor's rear hubs are 4/115. ( 89-90 banshee rear hubs are 4/156 )

its not s 250r swinger its a aftermarket banshee swinger with 250 bearing carrier and bearings for easy chain adjustment....i think... a 250r swinger won't fit on a banshee cus if it did there would be thousands of banshee swingers for sale.... and most of them ppl selling would be here.......
