1sreamin350 Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 I just got threw installing everything, went to push the throttle to test it for play and what not, I noticed the damn lever takes alot of pressure to push. Checked to see if the cable was caught on anything, but it looks like it has plenty of slack. Cant figure it out. I chopped the springs a couple of notches before, when I had the tors on, worked perfect. The throttle lever was going in perfect. I need help guys.. Please!! Going ridin sunday. Gotta get the bike back. Quote
racer Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 try lubin the cablem. also check your routing, avoid all sharp bends and curves. Quote
boonman Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 LIke mentioned, cable could be stiff? Also, whacking coils off the spring, is going to make the throttle STIFFER. Not softer. I would double check everything. Cable routing, slide install. And get some new springs.... Quote
1sreamin350 Posted December 25, 2004 Author Report Posted December 25, 2004 Thanks guys! I figured out what went wrong. The stupid cable was not all the way down in the carb. Also intalled v-force reeds, seems like they work good just need to take the bike somewhere were I could realy test it, my street is just way to quiet. Could use a heads up on jetting though. Right now I have 310 jets with 30 pilots and k&n clamp on filters with tr6 pipes. It ran a little rich before the reeds, with the 310 on. Idle screw is at 1 1/2 turn needle clip is on the third notch from the top. Hit me up with sum advice please. Quote
