williamjernigan Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 I posted a few topics about my problems with installing tors. I think that I found one of the problems. In the throttle unit the lever that holds the cable with the ball on the end I saw that the ball was not exactly sitting down in the lever that good. It was kind of at an angle. Anyways thats why I had to screw the throttle cable all the way out before I could get the lever tight. Now that that is fixed I need to sync carbs. The clymers says that you should hold the thottle all the way open and check the right carb to see if it is centered in window. I did that. Then it says adjust left carb until it is centered. I tried that but when I move one and get it centered the other is not centered. I know that this is simple as 1..2..3 but I can't get it. 2 more questions. The little wire that goes to the throttle housing that clicks when you open the thottle a little bit, what does that do. Is is something that I can uninstall or what. Also I think that I didn't file the inside of the carbs where I drilled though good enough because I looked through the airbox at the slides and you can see the hole for where the needle jet goes in. Its not much of a gap but its one anyways. And that was with the throttle closed and the screws all the way out. Quote
