RNBRAD Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Thanks for the comments guys. I'll post some pics when all the work is done. PUSH THE THROTTLE, do a search on " the polishing guide " should help though the cover doesn't require much if any sanding once the paint is removed. Like Cudaz said, It's smooth enough already it doesn't require much sanding if any. Only sanding I did was with a scotch brite pad and very little. Just needs to be hit with a cotton wheel and some brown rouge. Sredish, don't forget that chrome can be easily scratched by your boot and possibly the foot brake lever. Aluminum can always be touched up where chrome can't. Chrome does look better, to begin with though. Good luck guys and I'll help in any way I can, just PM me. Quote
sredish Posted December 16, 2004 Author Report Posted December 16, 2004 I dropped off the cover today for the same treatment as the swinger. They will both be pimped with a powder chrome, followed by a clear coat. They should be done tomorrow, Fri. at the latest. I'll get you all pics when I get them back. Later, and thanks for the help.
