williamjernigan Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 I have sst's with k&n airfilter with no snorkel but with the lid on right now. It is now jetting at 260 mains and 30 pilots. I am about to rejet because the temperature is dropping and because I cut the back 2 inches off of my lid. I live right at sea level and the temperature is now 30deg at the coldest to about 55 as the high. It will probrably be like this till about end of Febuary. I'm thinking that I will start with 290 mains. I'm not sure where the needle position is right now but I'm thinking that it will need to move as well. Which way does it go for leaning or righing it out. Quote
fixitrod Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Sounds like a good starting point, maybe even richer. It's about 1 jet size per 15 degrees in a perfect world. To richen the needle you want to raise it. In order to do that you'll have to lower the clip. Quote
Ducman Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 With K&N I'd probably go 300 main or maybe even 310. I ran Gnarlies with a foam filter, lid off with 290's and it was just right at 60 to 80 degrees. Quote
1sreamin350 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I have tr6 pipes with k&N clamp on filters. Im using 310 jets with 30 pilots using dyno jet needles, still in middle possition. Seems to be ok . Im just starting to mess with the air screw will see how it does! Im in claremont cal. I guess sea level. Just moved here. Quote
