Nightrider Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I purchased another shee from a michigan resident. The title was signed over to me upon deliver of the vehicle.Being from ohio I'm not famailiar with the transfer procedures that Michigan goes by.I was told Michigan does not require "Notary" for transfer.I plan on retitling in Michigan, what do I need to complete the transfer?Does the previous owner need to be present? Or can I just walk into Secretary of state branch and have it done? I was going to title it in Ohio, but I would have to supply more notarized documentation, pay out of state inspecton fees and such.Ohio is a pain in the ass. Any info is appreciated. Quote
banshdog Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 If it is anything like signing over a car............. All you need is the title - signed by the seller, and a recipt of some sort. You pay 6% sales tax on the amount it says you paid for the bike. The new title comes in the mail i believe. I'm pretty sure thats all, maybe someone else has some input? Quote
