Airbox lid modifications

I remember talking to banchetta a while back and he said that if you cut the back 2 inches off of the airbox lid then you will only be 1/2 hp less than with the whole lid off. I know some people will disagree, but I really just want to know if I have cut mine the way he explained. Does anyone else run lid thats cut. check the pic I posted

Just take a sawzall and cut off the plastic behind the last pair of clips. If you did that, your fine. It's really not that hard.
