cleaning pipes

i know it's in here some where but i can't find it. my nice new riding pants melted to my tripple chrome fmf's and they both look shitty. i know how to fix the pants, but how do i get that crap off of my pipes with out scratching them up?

First try the SEARCH function.

 

Second use some #00 steel wool, and glass cleaner - do NOT use a scotchbrite pad.
