01bansheefox Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Some of you have probably seen my other post, i just got the banshee of of ebay and there is no water in radiator and he also has some other little container set up for some reason for like extra water for the radiator, both things are empty, lets say the engine melted from heat, is that fixable? stu Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 if theres no water and you run the engine it will seize up. it is fixable but if its a case of just adding water i know what id rather do have you run it without water in the system or it just was delivered dry??? stu Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 just read your other post.... id buy a few tools and do a top end rebuild. its really straight foward especially with this site, everybody here will literally guide you all the way through it and help with any problems you might find. and snap some pics when its apart and i bet someone here will tell you the problem straight away!! oh yeah, and buy a bible...aka Clymers Manual. that will take you through all shee maintainence step by step stu Quote
Ducman Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 I highly doubt the motor is damaged beyond repair. If the rod bearings and crank bearings are still ok and the top end is siezed, which is probably the case then its no big deal. Probably a good idea to do a new top end on used bike you just bought anyway. If you pull the cylinders off and the crank and/or rod bearings are toast then it will be a litttle more expensive but still fixable. Quote

Its not seized, it wont start though but backfires maybe 1/10 kicks. I just pulled the head off and it looks as if water was on top of the piston? like muddy water and the idiot didnt have a seal on the head it was some homemade silicon shit. Quote
