Percy Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Hi Guys, Today I did a stupid thing. Washed the shee and when I do this, I take off the filter and block the airbox with a big cloth. Later in the day I decided to go for a spin round the block as I fitted the long range tank today. I tried to start it, (with the airbox still blocked) for about 30 mins. I kicked and kicked as well as tried to run start it down a hill. Once i relaised my error, I cleaned the plugs up, put the clean filter back in and after a few (20) kicks it fired up. I have run it up the road and seems 100%. Will this have done any damage? I shold not think so, as it did not fire up, so was not actually running without air? Appreciate any help/advice Cheers, bruce Quote

It was quite hard to start though, even when I put the filter back on. Normally starts with 2 kicks. Was that just cause it was all gunged up and flooded from me trying to start it with no air...?
