Ok to add timing GYT-R

I remember a thread about the Dyna ignition and timing plates and that the Dyna ignition adds timing in the curves?? But the GYT-R is justa a better digital ignition with better spark charge so is it ok to run +4 timing with a timing plate?? And also does adding timing cause it to wear out faster??

I believe the gty-r advances the timing as well...call yamaha tech and ask them. They'll let you know.
