Found a 2000 model with 6k for $2800....kbb puts it at like $4,750 or so. Was wondering if anyone on here has ever ridden one, what you thought about it, if you think it's worth the $2800. I dunno if I want a street bike or hold off for an XR400 DualSport. Just curious...may have to be selling my banshee in the near future due to financial reasons(fucking bills & CC's banghead )...depending on how much is left over I may get a bike for now, save on some gas money & get my finances straitened out. I'll still have the EX around & will get another banshee someday down the road, fo shizzle...that is if I don't keep mine. :D

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome bike. Very comfortable with good torque and power for a 600. I was actually trying to find one back in the spring because they are pretty cheap. I was trying to find an all yellow one. The only issue I remember reading about was something with the fuel system had to be remapped. Wasn't a big issue but effected throttle response.

Because I couldn't find the one I wanted, I decided to go with an 01 ZX9-R instead. Man I really miss it, my wife hated it so bad that I decided to trade it for 2 banshees and $1000. Just something about going from 0-90mph in 1st gear.......

thats a british legend......and the cheapest ive ever seen one!!! you cant pick one up that cheap here in the UK. the brakes and the handling are stunning but if you want to keep up with the modern 600's take a look at the daytona 650. id snap up that offer led, it would even be worth buying, riding for a month and selling again at that price!

Thats an awsome deal. There was a fuel injection glitch on those years but I'm sure with a pipe and chip the problem will probably go away. They were pretty competitive with the Japanese 600's when they came out. The fit and finish of british and Italian bikes is way better than the Japanese bikes too. I'd get it. Why would you sell the banshee  and keep the 400ex? Sell the ex! Or would it require permission from your honey?

Thanks for the replies guys. I dunno what I'm gunna do. I don't know that I could get enough out of the EX to pay off what I need to, so that's why I'm considering the banshee. Dunno yet, nothing's set in stone & there's no for sale adds out there with my banshee on it. It's just an alternative...if I sold the banshee I could pay off what I need to and have some cash to perhaps get another toy, I'd like to have a street bike, but a dual purpose XR400 I think would suit me better. But, as before...I dunno, just throwing around ideas. ;)

thnx for all the replies on the bike though, much appreciated. I figured being a triumph they're nice bikes...my old man was a big bonneville fan back in the late 70's/early 80's... B)
