racer Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 (edited) r stands for resistor. i dont remember the exact purpose, but it means that they dont give off some kind of electrical signal or something. if you run factory plug caps resistors are built in, but since i am running NGK caps, i need the resistor plugs. even still, i dont think it matters either way. its just got something to do with electro static interference or somethin like that.
