Wassup350 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 My friend wants to take the spark arestor out and all ready has the airbox lid off and jetted for that. Any of you guys take the spark arestors out of your YFZ450s? If so what jetting changes need to be made? thanks. Quote
00BANSHEE Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Lid off and S/A out, you should be right at - 45 pilot, 168 main, and the stock needle with the clip on #5 or #6. I ran mine there before I got a pipe and it ran perfect. No backfiring or stalling out. Quote
Wassup350 Posted November 3, 2004 Author Report Posted November 3, 2004 (edited) OK sweeet. what fuel screw setting did you have on it?? Thanks. Edited November 3, 2004 by Wassup350 Quote
00BANSHEE Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I left it at the stock position. I believe at 1.5 turns out. This was at about 1400' elevation and around 70-80 degress F. Quote
Ducman Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Lid off, spark arrestor out, I would recommend 45 pilot, air screws 2.5 turns out, NCVQ needle on 3rd clip (this is the needle from the YZ 450 F dirt bike or the needle that comes in the GYTR Kit) and 165 main Get the NCVQ needle it makes the bike run better than just making the stock needle richer.
