sredish Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 I see these RAD carriers and there are some others, are they designed, or are there some designed to mount to the stock carrier? I'm gonna shorten a stock swinger and would like to buy a chrome roundhouse carrier and mount it up and these always say "Yamaha Banshee, ready to install", and I wanted to run this by you all. Quote
brock_fuzzy_69 Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 hey get ahold of cotton eye joe he sells a kit to convert the stock swinger ot a roundhouse i think its maybe 215 or so for the carrier and the brackets i wanna say that loco runs one but not sure Quote
sredish Posted October 31, 2004 Author Report Posted October 31, 2004 yeah, loco does run one, but i was tryin to get away from having to do more cutting and welding. that will probably be the way to go though. Quote
boonman Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 I got ahold of Alloy Specialties. DOn't know if they;'re still around, but I got my round tbe from him, and bought a carrier off ebay. The only difference between carriers, (when they are for a banshee, honda, or whatever )is what AXLE they will fit. Not what machine they will fit. The carriers are all pretty much the same, it's the axles that differ. Diameter, and bearing placement..... Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 What i think you are talking about is dirrect replacment billet carriers for the banshee. They are the same as the stock kung-fu chan adjustment...just aluminum and shiney Quote
Lepew Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 there is no one to my knowlege that mounts a round carrier to a stock swing arm without cutting and welding. It is possible to weld tabs to a round carrier tube and bolt it to a stock swingarm but it would make it longer. Quote
