williamjernigan Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 I took off parking brake cable with the block off plate installed and I took all the levers off the handlebars. Now it just will idle. So what do I need to do. Quote
sredish Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Remove your TORS. Unplug the plug under the gas tank and then the one up by the parking brake and follow it down to the other plug beside the left side of the radiator, then it should work. Quote
williamjernigan Posted October 30, 2004 Author Report Posted October 30, 2004 I dont need a tors kit to do this. Quote
williamjernigan Posted October 30, 2004 Author Report Posted October 30, 2004 are they both white plugs Quote
williamjernigan Posted October 30, 2004 Author Report Posted October 30, 2004 I unpluged the plugs that shredish suggested and it worked. So do I have to worry about the throttle sticking now with it unplugged. If so how much of a chance do I run with it sticking? Quote
boonman Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 There is an inherent chance of the throttle sticking. That is the reason Yamaha band-aided the problem with the TORS nonsense. If you ride in wet, muddy conditions, be prepared for a possible stick..... It's just something we all have to deal with. I run stock carbs, and my throttle used ot stick, and now it doesn't. Go figure... Quote
