98bonerSTOCKshee Posted October 29, 2004 Author Report Posted October 29, 2004 I've never seen metal base gaskets before. but i never got them from a dealer,I would check and make sure they gave you the right gaskets they are the right ones, Partsfish.com has the same part number listed, the baggy that they came in was sealed... may not be metal?? Has the gaskets always had a sealer on the ones you use? Quote
fixitrod Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 I think the true yamaha ones have a line around the gasket that is a sealer. The aftermarket ones I use do not. Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted October 30, 2004 Author Report Posted October 30, 2004 I called yamaha up today, they said no sealer. I think these are reuseable base gaskets... Quote
racer Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 gaskets are one thing i will always buy from the factory. they just seem to work better. Quote
