p00pstinks Posted October 31, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 31, 2004 how do u mean? if ur talking about the tranny being a 700r4, ur right.... the 700r4 is the weakest tranny GM ever made. but this one is built to handle quite a bit more power. but for a serious offroad truck the 700r4 wont cut it. thats why i picked up an sm465 w/ np205 transfer case. ive decided that im gonna keep her. i have a set of 2.5 t rockwells w/ 6.17 gears on the way w/ detroit locker in the rear. along with the 454 4-bolt that will soon be mated to the sm465 i think she will be a hell of a machine. along with extensive fender modification she will be churning 53" goodyear tractor tires. also if anyone is interested i have a set of 1 ton axles. gm 14 bolt FF rear. and dana 60 front, need to get rid of both ASAP. im located in houston. i will get back with the gear ratios in a couple days trey Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
