p00pstinks Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 was wondering if anyone would be interested in a trade for 1985 suburban 4x4? im looking for a newer model atv thats 4x4 or a sport quad. let me know what you have. this thing is a tank. has good running 350 v8, was rebiult by machine shop 35000 miles ago w/ forged rebiuld kit from summit racing. the block was decked, then bored .030 over then honed. the pistons are forged with around 9.0 compression. has stock rochester 4 bbl. carb. and 700r4 auto transmission rebiult about 3k miles ago. the transfer case was reconditioned, and beefed up. totally new front brakes, (calipers, pads, hoses, master cylinder.) the body is in decent condition , but has surface rust on hood/roof. the back window is missing b/c i reversed into a tree branch a couple weeks ago when out on the trail, and it shattered it. 4x4 works flawlessly. the front axle is newly replace 10 bolt w/ mile marker manual locking hubs. axles have 3.42 gears. the truck has 6" suspension lift, and 35x15.5x15 super swampers 80% tread left. on 15x10 eagle alloy 589's. both axles have brand new bearings. has clear texas title, and everything is up to date (inspection/registration.) pioneer c/d player w/ pioneer 6x9's in rear, and infinity kappa 6x8's in front.has bench in back, w/ captain chairs up front. the bench seat is great condition. cloth on the 2 front captains chairs is tore up, but all the seats have matching seat cover over them... so they can be washed when the inside of the truck gets muddy. i bought a dashboard on ebay that is custom made its white w/ grey vinyl flame inserts on it. i also had the inside door panels reupholstered. their are some grease stains in the front on the carpet. also... has class 4 tow hitch on back w/ drop bar, 2" ball let me know what u think. i have recipts for everything (totalling OVER $10k)! p00pstinks Posted October 28, 2004 Author Report Posted October 28, 2004 i have decided i will not be wasting my money on the 700r4 tranny.... the 700r4 tranny is the weekest one gm has ever produced anyways. instead i will be throwing in a bulletproof SM465 manual transmission w/ a full floating gm14 bolt rear. if i cant get any replys on this in a couple days i think im just gonna keep her. trey Quote
