dogboystoy Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 Just Got a new Vaio, Centrino 1.5 GHz, 1/2 gig ram, DVD + and - Recorder. After tax and 2yr warrenty, it cost me a lil over 2K. What a sweet machine. But, does the centrino run slower than a regular Pentium? I would think it would run a little quicker but, it isnt that bad. Anyone? Quote

They're not as fast as a full blown Pentium 4 or Pentium 4m, but they are generally more than enough processing power for the average person. You may be experiencing a nice slow laptop hard drive. I upgraded this one to a 7200RPM from the 4200RPM that came, stock, and it was a night and day difference, doing the stuff I do Quote
