I asked the same question yesterday to an experienced, fast engine builder. His answer was typically no, unless the tool that is being used to do the porting makes contact above the exhaust port, in that case some damage will have occured and you should have it bored. He went on to state that 90% of the time there is no problems what so ever.

PERFECT answer. although you just made my life 100 times harder by deciding who gets my new cylinders. :whoa:

Someone who will guarantee not to mess them up or they will replace them with new cylinders !!!!!

its irrelevant now, the jugs need a bore anyways. so it will probably get done on the next topend.
