KRMit Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 I just got the Trailtech speedo kit and I have to take one of my front spindles off to install it. I got the axle nut and caliper off but the spindle won't budge. I guess the bearings are froze to it. Any suggestions? Quote
fixitrod Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 I'm a little unclear on were it's stuck. Quote

You might need to put a puller on your spindle (it has a dimple in the center of it btw). On mine, the bearings were actually a little loose, so I staked the bearing journal slightly to tighten up the bearing press. Spray it with some penetrating oil too. If you tap on the hub, make sure you use a rubber mallet, and tap it every 90 degrees or so to knock it loose. Quote
KRMit Posted October 13, 2004 Author Report Posted October 13, 2004 (edited) I guess I may have to go to Harbor Freight and get a puller then. Think this one will work? Edited October 13, 2004 by KRMit Quote
