racer Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 if you submerse the whole unit you will have to replace gasket as the carb cleaner will eat them. Quote
sredish Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Don't soak them. Just use carb cleaner, a light brush, a blow gun and a roll of paper towels. Just spray it down, use the brush to get to hard to reach spaces or sticky stuff that's being stubborn. Spray cleaner in all the holes and use the blow gun to blow out the dirt and gunk and cleaner out. Use the paper towels to help wipe dirt off and dry at the same time. Same thing with the jets and needles. Spray them down and wipe the dirt and stuff off. Quote

Banchetta Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I don't bother soaking unless they've been sitting for long periods. I just blow them out w/ an air compressor. Quote
