bogart Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 i just got a 92 shee.it ran when my buddie had it.as soon as i took it home it didnt wanna drive.it would start easy give it any gas and it would bog.so i figured clogged jet.carbs were really dirty so i cleaned them a few times.then it wouldnt start at all.i unplugged the black box by the gas tank.it fired up and i drove it seemed fine.next day fired it up and one cylinder wasnt running so smoke while the other smoked.then it started to work again after i gave it gas never stopped again.now when i start it she revs really high.and also dont seem to start all the time need starting fluid do i need a tors kit is this my problem.or can it just be unhooked.what else should be unhooked.also why would the bike idle so high sometimes Quote
yamamama350 Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Check the jets in the carbs to c if there stoped up.. Check the reeds. might be broke. Check the contact for the e-brake on top of the cluch lever and the perch Quote
SDD Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Make sure the choke tube in between the two carbs. Quote
bogart Posted October 2, 2004 Author Report Posted October 2, 2004 choke tube is there i made sure of that before i posted.i also forgot to say the reeds looked fine and the carbs are not clogged.ive taken them of twice to double look.im not sure what your talking about with the contact on the ebrake.im knew to quads expecially the banshee so i really have no idea Quote
SDD Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 1992 Banshees don't have the parking brake rev limiter. Double check your jets... specially your pilots, one if not both are probably clogged. Quote
