bansheewizard Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 ok lets start with my mods at the beginning--- fmf fatty pc2 silencers,no air box,34mm carbs , v force reeds, reed spacers, shaved head, and my jetting was at main 165 and pilot is at 58. ok now my mods are the same but with port and polished and i left the jetting the same i d k what the needle is at but im thinkin 3rd one down and the air screw is at one turn out . what would some of you jetting pros recommend on my jetting ? what it is doing is when i get on top off ever gear its not winding out its got a kinda like rev limiter on it and it has got hard as shit to start after leting it set over maybe 2 hours . and i alsome run cam 2 at about 175 to 180 compression . any imput would be appriciated. thanks sorry for the long post Quote

If it starts hard warm, but great when cold, then lower your pilot to a 50 and go from there. Next, I'd take it for a wide open throttle run for 5-10 seconds in 6th gear , shut it down, coast to a stop and pull the plugs. Post a pic if you can. If not, then describe what color the strap on the plug is... Edited October 1, 2004 by Banchetta Quote

Banchetta Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Rust color........I'd go up a couple of sizes for shits and giggles and see what the plugs do. Sounds to me, you might be lean..You want a chocalate brown color. The outside ring should be black and wet, the center strap should be dark brown and dry....There is only 1-2 sizes on the mains that'll yield this. Too rich and the strap will be black and wet. Too lean and you get different colors, grey, red, white, tan, etc...Lean conditions will hold back the revs, rich conditions will drop off fast and break up... Quote
bansheewizard Posted October 1, 2004 Author Report Posted October 1, 2004 i forgot to tell after it sit for bout 2 hours and its hard to start if i put new plugs in it will start on bout the 2nd to 3rd kick Quote

Banchetta Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Pilot is too rich...I'd drop it down 2 sizes and go from there....Your fouling plugs too fast... Quote
