This is for everyone that went to Roostfest last (what was that) March/ April in Dumont. I really wanted to go but ended up not making it out there for the event. From all the post trip accounts, it sounded like a blast and the place sounded like a great riding spot. Granted I'd never been there. Well I finally got out that way, actually just drove past Dumont on my way to Pahrump and all I could think was - "That's it?!?!!" It's so small! It's a small strip of dunes with a flat area on either side... I could not figure out why an event like that, especially where people are coming from all over the country would be held there, when Glamis is avaialble. Can't be distance right? Some people driving from the midwest. Is there something special about Dumont that I just don't get? Please fill me in. Quote
