Shee_Man Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 My setup... PC pipes and silencers V-force 2 reeds NOSS 21cc head K&N no lid 310 mains and 30 pilots My shee pulls strong however sometimes I have trouble starting and left cylinder won't fire until I rev it up a bit. However when it's going strong I find that I have a little dip in power right before I hit the powerband.... I have decent low end which climbs slowly, then dips a bit then takes off like a bat out of hell... hopefully I'm being clear, lol. Any ideas... or is this normal? Also any ideas on the left cylinder not firing... don't think it's a plug since i've changed 'em already (unless i fouled another one). Quote
sredish Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 For cold starting, are you using the choke or not? What's your needle set at? Quote
Nightrider Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 (edited) IMO your lean on your main,I'm running PC pipes,V-force,21cc head +4 timing,Dual stage foam filter and vented lid(6 1-inch holes) and I'm jetted perfect 310main,27.5 pilot and needle 2nd from the blunt end.Airscrews 1.5 turns out. Its jetted perfect for 70-75 degrees and 700 ft elevation.I was at 320 with a K&N and needle in the 3rd clip and 30 pilots with the same lid. Bump the mains up at least one size put your needle in the 3rd or even 4th clip from the blunt end. How old are your reeds?,I had a bad set of reeds on one side and took forever to figure out what it was.My reeds only made it one season before I had to replace them.
