jag706 Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 What's up fellas, I know this is a Banshee place but little brother needs up. My buddy has a Blaster that we just rebuilt the top end but we are still having problems. When we tried to fire it up it would kick over but wouldn't start. So we got the idea to tow it around and BAM Brrraaaapp the fuckin' thing started. It ran beautiful up and down but the idle was mad high. Everytime I kicked it presto but here's the problem. When it is warm it will start with no problem but I cant' figure out why the idle is so high. I never touched the carb settings. NOW when the quad is cold it won't start Only if I tow it around to bump start it but HELL NO AM I GONNA DO THIS ALL THE TIME. Please tell me what is wrong, Thanx Quote
racer Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 if its idlin hi and you didnt f with the carbs check these things. 1. see if the throttle cable is routed properly and isnt holding the slide open partially. 2. check for an airleak, hose down the motor with wd-40 and see if it revs any higher, if so youve got a leak. 3. umm, someone else add to this, im out of ideas.
