RV00GT Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 After I was drag racing my shee for a while the other day it started blowing plenty smoke out of the pipes and a little oil. It felt fine no bog or hesitation at all. I would have never known it was smoking if my buddy didn't tell me about it. So I let it sit and cool down for a while, I thought it might have gotten to hot, then started it back up and it was fine. This ever happen to anyone. Quote
sheefreak Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 If you put your hand over the right side tail pipe and get oil from pipe it is your right side crank seal. The fact that it didn't happen when you started it back up could mean it is just a minor leak at this time. The harder your engine is pulling, the more it will suck your tranny oil into the cylinders. I had a major leak and mine would spray oil out the right side tailpipe when you got on it, but seemed to run great at the same time. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I just did the crank seals on the 99 about a month ago. If the pipe smells like burnt oil (shit) then you have a blown crank seal. How is you clutch? Is it slipping? Not grabbing? If it is my guess is one of the plates shattered and ripped the seal. Quote
