2004LEBanshee Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Last time I replaced my break pads I managed to blow the o-ring out of the caliper. So I had to buy a seal kit for the caliper because it was spuewing fluid out the ebrake block off. Was this because I for got to take the resivor cap off? That is the only thing I can think of.I also used a c clamp to push the piston in. But I also forgot to use the pad to push it in evenly could that be what the problem was? Or maybe I pushed it in too far. Just wanna know so that I dont do it again. The rebuild wasn't much fun and cost me $10 Any help is appreciated. Quote
pimpeinkc Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 any time i change my brakes, i just remove the calliper with the pads in it and us a screw driver to seperate them as much as possible. then i put the new pads on, and most of the time they wont go on so i give a little more love with the screw driver thill they slip over the rotor. never had any problems and never have to bleed brakes Quote
