Going to rebuild?

Check not once, not twice, but three times before you got your topend rebuild all back together. I had gotten a fresh bore and new pistons about a month ago. Now everything is shot. Might even need to buy new jugs. A wrist pin clip came out somehow and was thrown around on my piston/cylinder walls and scored the hell outa the wall. Messed up the side and top of the piston too. Not sure how it even came out, but it happened. I even checked twice that everything was perfect before closing up and kicking it over. The other cylinder is farked up from something too, almost the same way as the one where the clip came out. Except it's got both clips and nothin was in there. Quite the confused right now about what happened but a friend of mine who helps run a harley shop checked it out and was helpin me with it today. He has no idea what happened except the clip on the other one. The other side is still a mystery. I have 3 or 4 races left and now it sits til winter when I can fix shit up. So theres my horror story.

Sounds like you had one hell of a season. I hope next season goes a lot smoother. I guess you've paid your dues all at once.

wow dude that sucks. Ive beent here with sleds in the past. had pretty good luck with the shee so far (and my other shee for that matter) but 2 strokes are like that. everything needs to be perfect and then they'll run like a bat outa hell...
